RAK

So, like many of you, I've been purging and cleaning out my room.  I've been collecting for almost 10 years and I still find drawers with miscellaneous items from a class or kit and I wonder why I kept them....

I also found that my scrap room has drifted out of the room, into the hallway and then the spare bedroom.

I have a lot of stuff and no matter how much I clean, it seems to multiply.

So in an ongoing effort to clean out drawers and such, I have a RAK.

Does anyone remember the good ol' product from Lil Davis?  I still miss the old Jenni Bowlin products....

Their warehouse was located way too close to me and when they'd have their warehouse sales, I took advantage of them.  I LOVED stocking up on some of the vintage stuff.

I have 2 drawers full of LDD items.  I just sorted them into 2 piles.  One of things I want to use right away and another for the RAK.

It includes some really cool vinyl letters, labels, metal frames, epoxy letters and a few other odds and ends.  Just a bunch of vintage LDD items that need a good home.

Anyone interested?

Leave a comment here and I'll pick a winner next Monday.

Random pics from this weekend.....

So we celebrate Fathers Day and my Birthday last week. Somewhere in there, we found time to attend a BBQ at my aunts house.
Nick got to go in a big pool for the first time in a year. So different for him than the pathetic little blowup Target special currently gracing my back yard. Its also killing my grass but hey? What wouldn't a parent do for their kid, right? Plus, mom and dad like to take advantage of the water now and then.
And I bought some strings of beads last weekend to finish some projects. Used my new Slice to cut some fun things for some mobiles. Once I finish stringing them up, I'll post pictures.

June Projects

Contrary to popular belief, I don't spend my 12 hours at Lauries Crop socializing and playing dress up with products. I do get some work done.
Tag mini using the new Prima canvas tags. With Elles Studio tags cropped to fit on each tag.

Lovely, more photos that are flipped. I didn't even take this like this. I took it horizontal and Blogger flips them! Still need to journal on this one. I'm bad about journaling.

Does anyone remember Farrells Ice Cream parlours? They're making a comeback! This is my 3rd birthday....

Two older lines on these. Trying to use up my old October Afternoon before the new lines come in.

Lauries Crop

When I joined the WhoGas? group in February, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Laurie's crops in Orange are by far my favorite along with all the enabling on the message boards. Coupons, cheap websites like Cropchocolate and Peachy Cheap.

And then, there's Alondras infamous 'Red Box'.

Last Saturday, I finally got to meet Alondra and her 'Red Box'.

And then there was Cori and her new box. A Tammy Box. Someone needs to design a combination between the two. They both have fantastic qualities and it would be a hard choice. I thought I got pictures of Coris box but I didn't. So those pictures will have to wait.
Oh and they need to be available in more colors.

I'm really looking forward to the retreat in November with some of these girls. The table in the middle of the room was laughing all day. I think I broke a rib from laughing so hard.

From Alondra offering to show up to Tall Mouse in a coconut bra to Cori and Bea trying to figure out how to put ball trim to good use.

And we can't forget Cori's pastie moment. Heidi Swapp products were put to good use!

In store news, I received several shipments for the Vintage Shoppe yesterday and had to work on them last night. I put my poor husband ot work cutting and winding Bakers Twine on wooden spools in time for the store update this morning. He was also cutting cork and canvas squares. Whadda man!

9 Months of hockey....

down the drain.

Not that I'm a HUGE fan of the Red Wings. I'm not. Totally not. In fact, I despise them almost as much as a I despise the Mighty Ducks.

But when it comes down to the final two teams, I must pick one to go with.

There is too much about Pittsburgh that I don't like.

Crosby is a great player and I have respect for him. Until he starts whining like Wayne Gretzky. He whined too. I hated that. It used to make me want to vomit when he turned vapid on the ice. 'Someone touched me ref!'

But I can get over that.

Malkin. I don't care for him. He's egotistic and I'm still bitter about his Rookie of the Year award. I'm tired of the East Coast bias the league has. They might as well split the league in half and send the West packing to the AHL.

And the fact that the Pengins had a better team for several years and threw games so they'd end up in last place. That #1 pick must have looked real enticing. Of course, Bettman went along with the plan and allowed the stupid draft lottery to even exist. Crosby. Malkin. Staal...

I could go one. Talk about buying your championship. I may hate the Red Wings but I see a very talented team who works hard every single year to be the best. I could only hope, wish, pray the Kings will somehome, someday figure out how its done.

So, heres hoping for some misspelling of Malkins name on the Cup. Something like Fakin. His name on the Cup is almost as bad as the entire Ducks team having their name on there....

Now if the Kings can figure out how to throw more games next season, maybe they can really start theur rebuilding...

Here's to 2009-10
