The nursery is painted....

and now we need the furniture. Should be here Monday. Can't wait to see what it looks like all put together.

My parents came over today and painted the room. My mom put the border up. Very cute. We went with Dunn Edwards paint. The color was 'Wasabe'. I just like saying it. Border is part of the Aloha Baby line from Lambs & Ivy. We even found a surfboard height chart that matches the set.

5 years ago today, I married the love of my life. Its been an exciting 5 years.

SEI card kits

are here. Very cute. I ordered the Thank You cards and Thinking of You set. These make a great gift for someone.

Also, more of the Petaloo Sunken Treasure flowers are in. We have the boxes of flowers now. I love these colors.

Support Autism Awareness

Okay, so seeing the stats these days, its hard to deny. Autism is big. And since I'm having a boy, these numbers hit home a little more. If you haven't been following Ali's blog, she has a place to donate to Autism Speaks Inc. The stats listed are a little scary.

"Autism now impacts 1 in 150 children - boys are 4 times as likely to be diagnosed."

One of my Design Team members is also working to raise funds for this cause.

Autism Speaks created a music video of the Five for Fighting song, "World", which features images of autistic children and their families.It is a truly moving video and was the work of Bill Shea. The band is generously donating $0.49 to Autism Speaks for each time the video is viewed - the funding goes toward research studies to help find a cure. They are aiming for 10,000 hits, but hopefully we can help them to surpass this goal.

Imagination Project

Just received an email from Imagination Project. All of their new releases have a points system. On each product, you will see (next to the barcode) a point value for each item. You can clip and save these points and redeem for free IP products! Their website and blog have more information.

We now carry the new lines from CHA. Just got in some dated stickers for the Totally Dated and Playlist lines.

Last minute update.....

Before I leave for the weekend, just wanted to update you on the few things we received in today.

Autumn Leaves CHA order is in. We have the Winter Garden (one of my favorites) in as well as some Bella and French Twist. We also ordered some of their Artistic Expressions overlays by Rhonna Farrer.
SEI - We have their new tabletop album box. Its a 6x6 album in a box to display on your table. Very cute and very hard to take a picture of. We also got notification that the card kits we ordered will be shipping soon.
Paper Salon - some of their new chipboard albums are in from CHA. These make cute altered books with some of their new papers.
Sassafrass Lass - Blue Boutique and Scrumptious rubons are here! Very excited about there. TOO CUTE!! They compliment the papers!

Any orders placed this weekend will ship Monday morning.

Edit: The kits are now listed in the store. Each kit comes with pictures of the pages I did and instructions. They DO NOT come with any of the stamps used, flowers etc. All papers are precut.

Waiting for Hambly

Screen prints!! All I need are some Chic Circles overlays in lime green. They've shipped and I'm tracking the package. As soon as they get here, I will cut them up and add them to the kits. Look for an announcement that the kits are on sale......

How to get the class kits.....

I am teaching this class twice so I need to make sure I have enough kits for the people taking it. :) Since there have been requests for the kit, I will need to cut more paper etc. Some items may differ than the original kits since I can't find enough of the same ribbon, rubons etc. but they will be as close to the original as possible. I also used some acrylic stamps in the project that will NOT be included. The stamps used will be listed in the directions and you can purchase them in the store, use your own or modify the pages to use stamps you already own.

Class Kits.....

I've been working on Class Kits all day! Wow! Never done this before and now I see all of the work that goes into it. I'm doing a short technique class for people who are interested. I have a lot of friends and family who are 'afraid' to try some of the new techniques out there and always compliment my layouts. So, this class is going to teach them my 'secrets'.

Its been kind of fun doing this, just a lot of work. I did get to use my new paper trimmer today and have to say, this thing is awesome. I've been using the good ol' grey and orange Fiskars trimmer for about 7 years now. I have three of them and just rotate them and the blades all the time. I've been looking at new trimmers for a while, but have hesitated. You just never know if something will be the same, worse or better. So I finally broke down and bought the Making Memories trimmer. Wow. Nice cut. And straight too!

Got Rascal to pose for a new picture for me today. I bought him a new t shirt that says Big Brother on the back. (I know I know, I need to have kids! Starting in July, you might start seeing matching outfits for the baby and dog. I know, I'm still crazy.) Got the shirt HERE. If you love funny shirts, check out this site. Very funny. Too hard to choose one! I ended up with the Brother shirt and a scarf that says "I'm not fat, I'm fluffy!"

April News

Two things for this month.

1. I need a name for the weekly newsletter. (see below)
2. For every store purchase, you will receive a raffle ticket in your order. At the end of the month, there will be a drawing for free product, gift certificates etc. Your tickets never expire! Every time you shop, your tickets will go in the drawing. Until that ticket wins, you still have a chance. Some months, I will do more than 1 drawing. Good Luck!
