Support Autism Awareness

Okay, so seeing the stats these days, its hard to deny. Autism is big. And since I'm having a boy, these numbers hit home a little more. If you haven't been following Ali's blog, she has a place to donate to Autism Speaks Inc. The stats listed are a little scary.

"Autism now impacts 1 in 150 children - boys are 4 times as likely to be diagnosed."

One of my Design Team members is also working to raise funds for this cause.

"As you know I am trying to do my part raising awareness about Autism so that the World is a better place for my little man Mav, if you would help by clicking on the link below and send this email to as many poeple as you can think of it would be awesome and I would appreciate it very much. April isAutism Awarness month so please spread the word it's time to solve the puzzle.Thank you very much ~Mandy.

Autism Speaks created a music video of the Five for Fighting song, "World", which features images of autistic children and their families. It is a truly moving video and was the work of Bill Shea. The band is generously donating $0.49 to Autism Speaks for each time the video is viewed - the funding goes toward research studies to help find a cure. When you have a moment, please visit the link below to watch the video and pass it along to your friends and family. They are aiming for 10,000 hits, but hopefully we can help them to surpass this goal.
